Open-Source Releases

We have just released SplendidCRM 2.0.  As before, we have created separate builds for Visual Studio Professional and Visual Studio Express.  The difference is only important if you are a developer.  If you are an end user, then it does not matter which one you download. 

We have also added builds for 64-bit operating systems.  The primary difference with the x64 version is that includes SQL Server 2005 Express 64-bit.

We have tested SplendidCRM 2.0 against the various editions of Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008, SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2008, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, several editions of Windows Visa and Windows XP.

Our Express versions have all the same features of the main version, but they were packaged to compile under Visual Studio 2005/2008 Express.  Only download these versions if you intend to develop using Visual Studio Express.

SplendidCRM is now available as a virtual machine as part of Microsoft's VHD Test Drive Program.  The SplendidCRM VHD includes a 30-day evaluation of Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition with SplendidCRM 2.0 pre-installed.

Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 is free and can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/virtualserver/default.mspx

We have two VHD images.  One is a bare-bones Windows Server 2003 R2 with SplendidCRM 2.0 that is 2.2G  to download.  The other image also includes Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition, SQL Server 2005 that is 5G to download.  The larger images has already been configured to build and debug SplendidCRM.

Once you get the virtual machine running, the login/password is administrator/Evaluation1.
