but the email is getting attached to the account in the CRM and I can sync my calendar.
Please assist, what is wrong.

I've the same problem..
On the local installation I never had the problem. After changing the server I used also the "Clear"-Action.
UPDATE, it seems the problems comes only up if I upload a Mail related to a Contact. Upload related only to a Account runs without any problem.
