I am getting the following error when attempting to synchronize with SplendidCRM CR1:
(1): System.Xml.XmlDocument LoadSelecction(Microsoft.Office.Interop.Explorer) Line 0.- Boolean Connect(Boolean) Line 0. http 401 : Unauthorized.

Very odd; LoadSelection does not use HTTP to do anything. However, the debug build does write out an XML file to a temporary location. Since you should have a release build, this should not apply to you. It is just the only thing that comes to mind when looking at the source.
I simply don't have an answer for you at this time.
