LEAD assignment
Posted: 11 Jul 08 5:32 AM

Hi there,

I would like to assign a LEAD to a user - so he can work on it - and
let other memeber of a particular TEAM access it.
The "assigned user" is not member of that TEAM.
The user, in this case, is not allowed access and modify the LEAD
but that LEAD is assigned to him/her.
What's wrong with that?

regards

It sounds possible to change the security filter to allow a user to see a record even if they are not on the team.  The place to look is the Filter method in ~/_code/Security.cs.  This sounds like a very risky change that could have unintended side-effects.

I can understand but, I thought the user who is the target of an assignment should always win on everything, especially on TEAMS.

Am I wrong?

The are arguments either way.  Why would a person be assigned to something that is not part of their team?  Some customers will allow it, others may not want it.
