Inbound Email Not Linking to Account; Wrong Email in Reply

I have inbound email working with my gmail account.  My inbound gmail account email address matches the email address in my SplendidCRM account.  However, inbound emails aren't linked to me, and when I hit reply, it takes my email address plus the recipient's email address and concatenates them in to the "To" field.  It's very frustrating.  Basically it does this:

To: myemail@example.comotheremail@example.com

How do I get inbound emails to link to my account email address?  And if I hit reply, it shouldn't include the sender's email address in the "To" field.
