Changing fields in Basic Search and Advanced Search
Posted: 28 Apr 08 9:10 AM Modified By spacecowboy on 4/28/2008 9:30:57 AM)

I'm only posting this for muppets ( like myself ) so you don't waste time trying to work it out.

If you want to change the fields that are available under the search tabs this is what you do:

1. Go into admin page
2. Click "Field Layout" > "Edit View Layout"
3. Open the drop down and you will see...

module.SeachAdvanced
module.SearchBasic etc etc

The rest is up to you - It is of course completely logical and obvious, but if you are like me and technically inept hopefully this note may help you ;-)

<added>

PS. Be careful in there - the delete button is very close to the edit button... as I just found out. Thanks goodness for cancel

Hi Spacecowboy,

Do you really see an advanced and basic search in the gridview edit? I'm just seeing  Modulename.search

It's in the "Edit View Layout" not grid view
