2.0 Beta - Module Header Improvements
Posted: 07 Jan 08 8:55 AM
One of the odd things about these module headers is that you get the little "[-]" and "[x]" to hide or close the module in a seperate little table before the module itself - typically the title appears there but in white on a white background - ( just ctrl +a on a page to see them )

It would be far more economical codewise if this was combined with the visible module header... The only issue with that is with Lists - often the export controls are in the right hand bit where the minimize control should be.

I expect this always was the intention but nobody got round to it yet *winks*

Maybe I'll have a c**** before RC1 unless somebody else is already doing it

The headers come from Web Parts.  We are not pleased with the Web Parts approach and we may remove it once we get around to doing our own AJAX implementation.  With 2.0, we are one step closer by allowing the administrator to re-arrange DetailView Relationships.

A quick glance at some of the microsoft docs on web parts reveals that you need to use some quite involved syntax to change their appearance - which is fine if you only need to do it once - but not very easy for average muppets like myself to hack around with...

The new detailview relationships work well - definitely a major improvement.
