I'm interested to customize splendidCRM for reselling it to a customer.If the SQL code is not provided, do the client need to pay for the professional licenses ?
Beside that, we might add modules and customize few existing modules.We have the choice to rewrite or to update some code, SQL included.
Who the professional license is applied in that case ?

As a System Integrator, the Professional license applies to you and your company. The Professional license includes a free runtime license so that you may deliver your solution to your customers without additional fees.
As long as you do not provide the SQL code and you encrypt the SQL objects in the database, your customer will not need a professional license. Therefore, you may charge you customer whatever you want.
