Missing Logon Logoff

Hello to all,

I have installed SplendidCRM under windows to test it out and find that I am unable to logoff SplendidCRM. Even if I call the logoff.aspx page directly it logs me off, but when I log on, it chooses the default user I created.

Any ideas on how to correct this. I'd like to test this out with various users.

SplendidCRM defaults to using Windows Authentication. This means that your users do not need to remember a new login/password.

If you wish to turn this off, you can go into IIS and enable Anonymous Authentication.

Great! Thanks for the quick response. I tried it again pre-creating a user as non-admin, then logging on to the machine with this user and SplendidCRM logs me in automatically (Windows user).

I then tried it with a new user (not pre-created) and it asks for the timezone, but then provides this user with Administrative permissions.

Is there a default setting for these new users that are automatically allowed by SplendidCRM. I would prefer to have these users severely limited, forcing the administrator to provide the appropriate permissions/roles.

If you are a Windows admin and Windows Authentication is used, then you will become an admin in SplendidCRM. This is what sounds like is what happened.

It also sounds like you have not enabled Anonymous Authentication in IIS. Please do so and your issues will be resolved.
