I am looking for some input on setting up Splendid to run a real estate company. This would be for a brand new residential real estate company with no software. Splendid definately fits the bill for managing agents and their leads and contacts/clients.
My question is regarding using Splendid to run other back end functions of the office. Things like listing entry (to link listings to a contact and manage the listing data, data we do not want to input into the MLS), keeping track of closings/escrow dates and tracking and paying commissions to the agents.
Has anyone done such an implementation with Splendid? Do you see any issues with using Splendid as the platform for running the entire real estate compay?
One aspect that we may not want to include in Splendid is the MLS listings database that would be used on the company and agent sites. It's probably best to keep that as a separate application since that data is pretty much standalone and is only used for online searches.
Thanks,
Vince
You should have no issues - and you can probably take care of any of the linking i.e. between splendid and external listing database with a couple of linking tables in sql and a few minor ASP.NET edits to the splendid code on the the pages you need to show the "integrated links"
