Import Contacts trouble
Posted: 14 Apr 08 4:32 PM Modified By Raleigh on 4/14/2008 4:57:41 PM)
I am new to SCRM and practicing with the Virtual server download version.  I am trying to import a simple .csv file from outlook clients export.  I am trying to follow the import instructions from the Sugar Univ. Online and it keeps refering to drop down menus for mapping the fields togethter.  I don't see that. When I click on the 4. Map Fields tab I get a long list of mapping code but no way to edit. I.E,.

<Import Name=""> <Module>Contacts</Module> <SourceType>excel</SourceType> <HasHeader>True</HasHeader> <Fields> <Field Name="ID"> <Type>Guid</Type> <Length>0</Length> <Default /> <Mapping /> </Field> <Field Name="MODIFIED_USER_ID"> <Type>Guid</Type> <Length>0</Length> <Default /> <Mapping /> </Field> <Field Name="ASSIGNED_USER_ID"> <Type>Guid</Type> <Length>0</Length> <Default /> <Mapping /> </Field> <Field Name="SALUTATION"> <Type>String</Type> <Length>5</Length> <Default /> <Mapping />...........

Is it posible my program is not running properly?  In fact, there is Code visible at the bottom of almost every page. The top of my pages look like the screen shots from the web site but they all have extra code at the bottom. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok now I have logged into the online demo version and tried the import.  And I see what it is suppose to look like. There is definitely something off on my setup.

The code at the bottom is likely because you have a debug build.  Seeing the SQL code can be very helpful at diagnosing problems, which is why we turn it on for a debug build.

Oh now I see what you mean. Should I just switch to the VS version w/out the VS Team 2005 or is there an easy way to turn off the debug?
Thanks

You should be able to run VS and recompile as a Release build.  The whole point of the Team VHD is that it is already setup to compile.
