Hi,
I am evaluating this for a customer - really like the MySql support as they are currently using MySql, and the fact the code is C#. Is there some guide that tells how to go about enhancing the database - like adding new tables and the associated forms - and tying those to the existing structure? The ability to add custom columns to a table is very useful but they have some heirarchy that is outside of the current structure. I understand the paid version has the SQL source, does it have any additional documentation? Thanks for any insights.
The source code is the only documentation. We keep hoping to get to it, but we get distracted by "must-have" features of potential customers. We try and make up for it by responding quickly to posts, emails and phone calls.
As for the MySQL code, it is very expensive and a little behind.
Thanks for the reply. How 'far behind' is the MySql version? Is there a list of differences from the MS SQL version available? Is there a plan / schedule to bring the MySql version current w/ MS SQL?
I'd really like to use your product but do not want to sell the idea to the customer to discover it does not do what I promised so I need to be sure I understand the issues. Thanks.
The MySQL version would not take more than a week to catch-up. The main feature that is missing is the auditing. Please contact our support staff directly for more information.
