Is there any plan to allow Pro users to post goodies and snippets up to the vault?
It seems that a few of the power users here has some nice items and perhaps like to share them with other Pro users.
You are encouraged to submit goodies to our support staff for consideration, but we will not likely open Vault for direct editing by Pro users.
We want to ensure that anything that is checked-in is reviewed before it is added to the core. Our highest priority is the quality of the build and the only sure way to maintain that quality is to have tight control of the code.
We would be willing to create a separate Vault location that would be editable by Pro users and visible to Open users. How does that sound?
My though (hope others chime in) would be noncore features.
Things that are nice tidbits that the folks that have Vault accounts can begin to share as a community.
It seems from some of the posts on the forum that users are beginning to make some nice stuff and perhaps the community together could add on a few features here and there.
Yes I agree, non-core features so code doesn't turn into spaghetti. And new version upgrades aren't a pain.
It would be nice for non-pro guys like me to see changes etc. without sacraficing stability of newer releases. Another vault would be nice. Hopefully, the admins could decide what to use from the community vault in newer releases as they become available.
Please keep in mind that the guest account already provides access to all changes to the Open tree. You can use the Vault Client or the Vault web access to view the changes or get the latest files.
