CRM attending two different companies
Posted: 20 Jun 07 12:37 PM

Hi,

I've installed SplendidCRM yesterday and I've been looking the features and the source code.
It looks great and I was able to import a language pack (spanish), this is one of the features that I need.

There is another issue that I couldn't solve yet.

I need that the CRM attends different kind of users. I've been looking for a way to customize the "Cases" form for each kind of users. (I mean, first of all, select from a list which kind user is calling and, according with that selection, show the corresponding form)

Is this possible?
If it isn't supported yet, does anyone have an idea about how to start it using Splendid?

Thanks,
Leonardo

Can you provide more details as to how you want the data for these two different kinds of people?  Do you simply want to hide and show fields or does it go much deeper than that?

Yes, sure.

For example:

The CRM attends calls for a company that sells tires and another that sells toys.

When I receive a call from a customer of the company that sells tires I have to show the form (Case) according to that company (the same when I receive a call form a customer of the second company).

It would be good to have a different form (Case) for each company, if that is not possible maybe hide or show fields would be enough.

Please let me know if the example is clear.

Thanks,
Leonardo

Hiding and showing fields is probably your best bet.
