You will need to check directly with our support staff to determine if you have a maintenance plan in place. What do you mean by structure?  Since version 8, there have been may new SQL tables and many new modules. In order to get an upgrade, you need to have an active maintenance plan.

That is correct.  However, it will install any missing IIS features that are required.  It will even create its own Application Pool.

Have you tried to uninstall, then reinstall SplendidCRM? The err_empty_response is not a normal SplendidCRM error, so it must be because of something else.
