Instead of using the ModulePopup edit view type, use the ChangeButton type.  The text field is editable for ModulePopup so that an auto-complete can be used.  ChangeButton does not have that feature.

No.  The Module Builder is only in our Professional and Enterprise editions. You can still create new modules in the Community edition, but you need to use Visual Studio to do it.

There is a separate command to disable the footer buttons.  Change the rule to disable both buttons: this.GetDynamicButtons().EnableButton("Save", false); this.GetDynamicButtons("ctlFooterButtons").EnableButton("Save", false);

My best guess is that the web site is being started before the database is ready.  There is not much we can do about that, other than have you wait until SQL Server is ready before hitting the web site.  If you do encounter the problem, just login to SplendidCRM as an administrator and ...

The quick solution would be to disable the Save button on the Cases.EditView using a business rule.  I believe this feature was added to version 8.5. this.GetDynamicButtons().EnableButton("Save", false)
