We are finally ready to release a beta of the SplendidCRM Plug-in for Outlook 2003. It took a little longer than expected, but the results are well worth the wait.
SplendidCRM Plug-in for Outlook 2003 is being released as a free utility to SplendidCRM customers and to SugarCRM customers. The source code to the plug-in will be included with the SplendidCRM Professional product.
Our plug-in was built using Microsoft's recently released Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office (VSTO)
The only catch is that a VSTO add-in has hefty installation requirements:
Windows XP with SP2 or Windows Server 2003 with SP1 or Windows 2000 Server with SP4
Outlook 2003 with SP1 or higher
.NET Framework 2.0
Office 2003 Primary Interop Assemblies (O2003PIA)
Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office Runtime (VSTO)
The installation utility for the plug-in is 38M, but it contains the .NET Framework 2.0, the Office 2003 assemblies and the VSTO runtime.
