Unable to connect - Boolean AssignEmails() Line 0 - you do not have access

I am using SugarCRM and have installed latest version of outlook plugin + latest .NET framework.

I cannot upload email without receiving the error "Boolean AssignEmail() Line 0 You do not have access" 

Now this used to work, and I can successfully pass the connection test.  However, if I select the option to "clear all sugar IDs", I receive a COM error - interface not found.  The interface is Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.ContactItem{0006021-0000-0000-C000-0000000046} with the error: No such interface supported.

Other members of my company can connect to the CRM just fine and upload email.  Their machine does not crash when you select the "clear all sugar IDs" option from the settings->actions panel.

I've tried reinstalling numerous times - same situation - can you  provide any guidance or troubleshooting/diagnositic recommendations?

Can you tell me the complete version number of the SplendidCRM Plug-in for Outlook?  I'm expecting something like 1.0.2308.11879 and you can find it in the About SplendidCRM dialog box.

My first thought is that there is something unexpected in the Contacts list.  Can you check for anything that is not a contact, including a distribution list and let me know what you find?

Sure can - Outlook Plugin Version 1.0.2285.41085.

To clarify my use case - I do not sychronize contacts, but am trying to use the capability of attaching email to the account history (far left button in the plugin graphical UI).  I'm not sure if the content of my contacts list in outlook comes into play using this feature, but I wanted to clarify that the error does not arise sychronizing contacts.

I tried to run the calendar synch - it connected, and started to exchange information.  Then failed with error regarding content - didn't look related to the COM error I got when trying to clear IDs.

Another detail is that the user password in the test connection page needs to be retyped everytime I enter the Settings panel.  This is the same for all of my colleagues, so we determined that it was not related to my problems since they were able to upload emails to CRM without error.

Went through my contacts - found one distribution list - deleted it.  Contacts have only contact data types.  Tried to update an email - received same boollean error - "you do not have access".
