I've installed the latest version of the Outlook plug in on Windows XP System Outlook 2003. I am able to see the plugin menu in Outoook, change the settings, and the connect test is working ok. The CRM is installed locally in IIS 5.1 for XP.
When I click on sync contacts I get a dialog box saying "Connecting to CRM", a 5 second pause, and then it goes away. I end up with no contacts in Splendid.
What am I doing wrong?
(I just did a test with the calendar and it does look like the sync worked there)
All Contacts are not automatically sync'd. You need to mark them in Outlook as sync'able, and you need to mark them on the CRM side. The theory is that you may not want all contacts in Outlook sent to the CRM, or vice versa.
We do match account names with existing accounts for Cases and Opportunities, but not for Contacts; this was probably just an oversight. However, we do not create new accounts if the he account does not exist.
