Sorry to post this as a new thread, but I don't find anything previous that helps.  (http://www.splendidcrm.com/Forums/tabid/66/forumid/4/threadid/76/scope/posts/Default.aspx describes a similar problem, but the solution - Windows authentication - doesn't work for me.)

I downloaded version 2.1, extracted, installed, configured and all seemed to work.

When I try to open SplendidCRM Web Site, I go to

http://localhost/SplendidCRM/Users/Login.aspx?Redirect=%7e%2fdefault.aspx

and see only the master document header and footer, and a user login area, with placeholders (like .NTC_WELCOME) instead of text for navigation links, etc.  Clicking on any link takes me to a different default.aspx page (per my address bar) that still only shows header, footer, and login area.

Alternatively, loading (as a web site) into Visual Web Developer Express validates, builds, etc., ok, but opening site results in the same failure.
