SplendidCRM finally has a workflow engine. After many long months of design and development, we are finally ready to release it to the public. Workflow means many things to many people, but in the context of a CRM, workflow is a series of actions or alerts that is triggered by an event.
For example, when a potential customer submits a request on your web site, you may want to alert everyone on your sales team that they have a new prospect. And, one week later, you may want to email the customer to determine if their needs were satisfied. Those are two separate workflows, one triggered by a new record in the database and the other triggered by a time filter.
The SplendidCRM Workflow Manager allows you to create reasonably complex workflows. You can create workflows that update records, and you create workflows that send out alerts. We use the same reporting engine to help you build workflow filters.
