I have had a few users talk about an offline version of crm's they used in the past (ie. salesforce), that allowed users to work with (only their) accounts, leads, opp's, and contacts while not in the office(many reps spend a lot of time on the road). Does SplendidCRM have any viewpoint on an offline version?
We are investigating the development of an off-line client, but we are many months away. The release of Silverlight has is considering this new platform, or possibly WPF. SplendidCRM is ideally suited to creating a fat-client / off-line client given that most of our logic and layout data is in the database.
In my option, Client/Server can't create mobil solution. The hard point lies in database. Have a look of Sqlanywhere databasea and mobilink from sybase. It is the best fit.
Just my two cents.
Yoyo
We have looked at Sybase products and we are very disappointed that the .NET driver does not properly support ADO.NET.
We have done some research into SqlAnywhere, but there are no customers interested in this platform.
Sqlanywhere supports .NET driver. What's your error?I don't think sqlAnywhere is the platform, but it is not free.
