SplendidCRM versions do not match SugarCRM versions.  We try and follow SugarCRM, but this is just a guide and not a requirement. 

In SugarCRM 5, they added features that we already supported in SplendidCRM, such as the ability to customize the layouts for mobile devices.  They also added features that we will not support anytime soon, such as their module builder.  They have also added a full email client to the CRM, but we are having trouble locating a robust POP3 library, so this feature will take a while to support.

SugarCRM is no GPL, so we cannot use anything from their latest release without having to release our entire product under GPL.  We are perfectly happy with the old SugarCRM Public Licenses, so we will not be using anything from SugarCRM.  We will, of course, do our best to create a similar feature set.
