Commercial Portal and source distribution requirements
Posted: 27 Dec 07 5:59 PM

If we create a commercial portal based on SplendidCRM and have our own modules/modifications, does the GPL require us to post the source for the changes to SplendidCRM and new modules written for the portal?

Please note in this model the portal is hosted by us only, so, the software is not "distributed" outside the original developing company.

Thanks.

No, you are not required to redistribute.

Also, it is important to note that we are not GPL.  We distribute under the SugarCRM Public License, which was derived from Mozilla.
