I have tried text box for multiple selection list and it is not working as well. This is critical for customer and I am really surprised this issue never came to your attention. I can not imagine how the customer can enter data and not to be able to search for that data. It basically invalidates the whole product in the eye of the customer, as they are non-technical people and do not know what XML is. All they want to do is to enter multiple departments and be able to search for it. Seems the product does not provide this basic functionality.

Is there another way to store it (not as XML), so it will work properly (search working)? I have tried to use drop down (enum) and varchar and it did not work as well.
Text box in search does not work, I have entered D F (correct selection), record returned. However for D M works as well and many other permutations. There is clearly no pattern how it works and seems random.
How much would it cost to fix it? It should work so multiple list box (XML data) we can search for using the search form list box? I do not mind paying if it is a reasonable amount. Please let me know as I am risking lawsuit/broken legs and customer is extremely unhappy
