What is the relationship between Employees and Users in SplendidCRM? I see on the Employees list a UserName field, and when I pull up a User, I see Employee information. I have not dug into the code completely, but it appears that these are kept separately. Is there just a relationship, where you may have users that are not employees, and vice versa? On the ADMINISTRATION: HOME page, under users, there is a link that says Require, with a comment that says "User Assignment is Optional". Does this force all employees to be users?

An employee is just a user without a user name. Since there is no user name, the employee cannot login.
I'm not sure why the clever folks at SugarCRM did it this way.
