Information on PDF Generation for Invoices, Orders and Quotes
Posted: 30 Jun 08 8:25 PM

Hello,

One of the portions of this CRM implementation that interested me was the:

PDF Generation of Invoices, Orders and Quotes is enabled via a combination of Dynamic Buttons, imported RDL reports and the Microsoft Report View.

Yet, I do not see any way of importing Reports, or any buttons for pdf generation...  Can anyone point me in the right direction?

George

The Import is on the Reports page ~/Reports/default.aspx.  We have added PDF buttons to the DetailView pages of Invoices, Orders and Quotes.

Thank you for your quick response.

Where should the PDF button be located?  I cannot see it.  For example, with a quote, does it have to have a specific "quote stage"?

Are there any example reports for: Invoices, Orders and Quotes?

The PDF button should be next to the Edit and Duplicate buttons on the DetailView.

You must have version 2.1 to see the buttons.  It would also be helpful to know if you have upgraded from 2.0.

Under about it says: Version 4.5.0 Build 2.0.2950.42250

When you say version, are you referring to build?

If you are, since I have build 2.0.29..., then I do need to upgrade...?...

Should I just use the update option from the Admin screen?

Or is it better to just backup the database, uninstall 2.0.29..., cleanly install the new version 2.1.3074.33397, and then "restore" the database?

Is there a white paper on the upgrade process?
