Retail Customers Strategy
Posted: 17 Mar 07 11:49 AM

I am planning on using SplendidCRM in a retail type role.  Most CRM's, splendid included, use a model of Accounts and Contacts and most other objects, like Cases, relate to Accounts.

I was wondering if anyone else has modified Splendid or any other CRM for more of a retail role and what approach they took?

One straightforward solution is to create an account for every contact, has anyone tried another approach?

As I walk through the application Accounts might line up best for us as 'Regional Offices'.  So then Accounts would be an internal organizational unit rather then a client unit.  However, I suspect this might cause me headaches later.

So has anyone customized a CRM for very short sales cycle with low cost products before? How did it work out?
